Stephen Eglen awarded USIAS Fellowship

Stephen Eglan

Dr Stephen Eglen, Senior Lecturer in DAMTP, has recently been awarded a one-year fellowship at the University of Strasbourg Institute for Advanced Studies (USIAS). The Fellowship will allow Dr Eglen to work with Dr Michael Reber on a joint computational and experimental project investigating how neurons wire together during development to form ordered networks. The work was recognised by the selection committee as having "the potential to result in unique new insights into applied mathematics in neurosciences".

Dr Eglen is one of the founding members of the Computational Biology group in DAMTP and a Course Director of the MPhil in Computational Biology that has been run in DAMTP since 2004.
