Getting to Wolfson Court by Car

A map showing the location of Wolfson Court is here. The route to the M11 is via Grange Road and Madingley Road (A1303). can be seen by using the zoom-out button. (The Castle Pub is on Castle St close to Castle Hill.)

From Stansted

Follow signs to the M11 Northbound. Turn off the M11 at Exit 13, which is the A1303 to Cambridge and Bedford. (Do NOT take the earlier Exits 11 and 12 which are also signposted to Cambridge, but come in from the wrong direction.

At the end of the motorway exit ramp turn Right on the A1303 (Madingley Road) toward Cambridge. After 1 mile you will enter the 30 mph speed zone. About 20 metres later there are pedestrian crossing lights. About 20 metres after that there is another set of traffic lights. Turn Right at these lights into Grange Road. After 300 metres turn Right into Clarkson Road. Wolfson Court is 30 metres on the right.

Wolfson Court car park is just past Wolfson Court down a narrow drive. Please do not park in the more obvious Newton Institute carpark because the Director of the INI gets upset!

Journey time about 45 mins

From Heathrow

Follow signs to the M25 Northbound. Travel round the M25 as far as Exit 27 and turn off onto the M11 Northbound. Then follow instructions as from Stansted.

Journey time 2 hours. Sometimes much more due to heavy traffic on the M25 during the week.

From Luton

Follow signs to A505 to Hitchin. Continue on the A505 through Hitchin, Letchworth and Baldock to Royston (about 27 miles). The A505 bypasses Royston to the north. Turn left at the third major roundabout onto the A10 to Cambridge. After 9 miles turn off the A10 onto the M11 Northbound. (Do not continue on the A10 into south Cambridge!) You join the M11 at junction 11. Go 4 miles north and turn off the M11 at Exit 13. Then follow instructions as from Stansted.

Journey time about 1 hour on Sunday evening. More during the week due to traffic in Hitchin, Letchworth and Baldock.
