LATEST NEWS: PRACTICAL INFORMATION
THE VENUE
for the conference is the Cavendish Laboratory, off
Madingley Road, which is easiest to approach from the footpath (the
`Coton Footpath') that starts close to Robinson College.
PRE-REGISTRATION: You are urged to
participate in the pre-registration from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Sunday July
14th. This will take place in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences
(CMS) which is entered via a path next to the Newton Institute on
Clarkson Road. Some light refreshments will be available.
REGISTRATION will also take place from 8:00am on July 15th
at the conference venue.
THE FIRST SESSION starts at 9:00am on Monday July 15th.
THE CONFERENCE ENDS at 12:30pm on Saturday July 20th.
POSTER DISPLAYS: There will be several large poster display boards in one
of the large coffee rooms. Although we have not organized a formal
poster session these boards can be used for poster contributions.
Contributors are urged to produce lucid and readable posters of not more
than two A3 size pages. They should ask one of the conference secretaries
to pin up their contributions.
THE WEATHER is quite variable. Temperatures are commonly between 14 and
30 degrees and rain may or may not be frequent! Bring something
waterproof.
SPECIAL TRANSPORT REQUIREMENTS: Since the
conference venue is only a 10-15 minute walk from Robinson College, we
are not intending to provide buses. Anyone who requires transport
should inform the conference organisers as soon as possible.
ANY CANCELLATIONS on or after Friday July
5th will be subject to a cancellation fee on college accommodation
costs. As announced in our web pages this is imposed on us by the
colleges. In the case of Robinson College at this late stage the fee
is 100 per cent of the costs.
