Using Local Pine Folders with Hermes

Your email is redirected to Hermes, but you want to have some email folders on DAMTP. Maybe for archival purposes. This document explains how to configure pine for this.

• In this example we persume your local mail folders are in a folder/directory called damtp-mail.

• Inside the main menu of pine, select 'S' (Setup), C (Config) and then L (collection Lists).

• For the nickname field put something like "Local mail folders at damtp" - this is what pine will offer you as the folder collection name.

• For the Path put ~/damtp-mail (or subsitute your folder name for "damtp-mail").

• Select control-X (Exit/Save) and 'E' (Exit Setup).

• Now from within pine you can select 'L' to see your folder collections and select either the Hermes collection or the Local mail collection.
