If your damtp account was set up before Michaelmas Term 2005 and you are using the damtp email server, temporary redirections are a bit more complicated. You need to insert the following into your .forward file.

# Exim filter << DO NOT REMOVE

deliver you@your.forwarding.address

To redirect your email and keep a copy in damtp put the following in your .forward file

# Exim filter << DO NOT REMOVE

unseen deliver you@your.forwarding.address

You can combine this with spam filtering and other types of exim filtering.

For permanent redirections while you are in the university please redirect your @cam address and we will redirect your @damtp email to @cam for you when asked.
