How To Login To A DAMTP Windows PC
Firstly, you need to have a DAMTP Windows account. This will be the same username (CRSid) as your Unix username but it is setup separately to your Unix account so don't assume you are given one automatically when you join the department. More information about how to apply for an account can be found by reading the 'Obtaining A DAMTP Windows Account FAQ page.
Once you've got an account, you'll be able to log into any Windows pc in the department. To do this, assuming there isn't someone already logged in, pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE will give you a window in which you can type your username and password. May sure that the Log on to is showing DAMTP and nothing else. If DAMTP isn't displayed, highlight whatever word is displayed and press the D key. DAMTP should then appear. If it doesn't, that pc isn't connected to the DAMTP domain and can't be used by domain users, choose another pc to work on.
Once you've typed in your username and password and checked DAMTP is displayed, press OK, you'll then be able to login.
