How To Play My Music
All the Windows XP machines have Windows Media Player v9.0 installed. You can launch it from the Start Menu. This will play all your avi, au, mp3 files and your CD music. To listen to the music you need to have a sound card installed inside your pc, not all pcs have one of these. You also need some speakers. If you have a pair of speakers close to your monitor there's a good chance you'll have a sound card installed, so you will be able to hear your music.
For normal departmental work, you won't need sound hence why not all pcs have such 'extras'. If you feel that you need sound for your work, please email help requesting a sound card and speakers.
