Step-by-step guide to resizing & printing a photo onto an OHP

To print a picture you can choose from a variety of software packages including:

  • Corel Photo-Paint 8
  • GIMP
  • Paint
  • PaintShopPro
  • PhotoEditor

In this example, we will concentrate on PaintShopPro.

  1. Open Jasc PaintShop Pro.
  2. Choose from the File dropdown menu "Open" and locate your file; then click Open. Your image will then appear.
  3. If the image needs resizing before it is printed, choose from the Image dropdown menu "Resize". Either resize to a percentage of the original dimensions, to pixel dimensions, by centimeters or by inches. In our example we have chosen to resize to 15cm wide.

  7. BEFORE sending the job to inkjet, turn on the printer (left hand button) and load with OHPs (please note the WHITE BAND ON THE OHPs GOES TO THE BOTTOM, ROUGH SIDE UPPERMOST (FACING YOU); load into the feeder tray at the back of the printer).
  8. Press the Print button. PLEASE NOTE: this printer (the Canon i450) is ONLY for OHPs. If you wish to print onto paper using prism, spect, peacock, bungle, syndics etc click the "printer" button towards the top right of this window and choose the name of printer as required.
