How Do I Make Windows Explorer Show 'Details' As Default?
To make Windows Explorer show the 'details' view whenever you open it;
- Open up Windows Explorer.
- From the 'View' menu at the top of the window, select 'Details'. You should now see the required look.
- From the 'Tools' menu at the top, choose 'Folder Options'.
- Then select the 'View' tab from the newly opened window and press the 'Like Current Folder' button.
- Press the Yes button on the dialog box and then press OK.
- Close Windows Explorer, re-open it, the Details view should be used.

- To open Windows Explorer, click Start -> Programs -> Accessories, and then click Windows Explorer.
