Animation
To turn a list of .gif graphics files into a single .gif animation use gifsicle which is available on linux.
$ gifsicle -help `Gifsicle' manipulates GIF images. Its most common uses include combining single images into animations, adding transparency, optimizing animations for space, and printing information about GIFs.
Or to convert the .gif files into an animation of type .mpg use convert. Convert needs to use the mpeg2encode library for this which is installed on the RedHat linux computers along with mpeg2decode.
To view an animation use xanim or animate.
