News Group Settings
The news server we use is called nntp-serv.cam.ac.uk. News is also known as USENET.
To read and post to news you can use thunderbird, pine or emacs. To post to a newsgroup using Thunderbird, follow these instructions, starting on the first part of instruction two.
You can read (but not post to) local newsgroups via your webbrowser without needing to do any configuration.
