Laptops - Backing up Data

If you frequently use your laptop in the department please remember to regularly back up your work. Copy your important documentents to your DAMTP home directory where they will be backed up onto disk and tape. Don't risk losing your academic work because of a hard disk failure or virus.
We now offer a laptop backup service (aimed at laptops, but it will also work for desktops).

Alternatively create your own backups, maybe via DVD or a USB disk using proper backup software or use a computer running windows to backup your laptop onto a DVD.
