Need to share some of your current files

If you have files on our system that should not be deleted maybe because the data will be used by others, you need to take action before your account.

When /data or /scratch spaces fill files belonging to people who have left and whose home directories are archived are the first to be deleted.

Choices

• Ask us to change the ownership of the files to another member of your group
• Ask someone in your group to copy the files to a directory owned by them
• Put the files into a directory with the word "-SHARED" on it. This must be done on a /data space. For example /data/septal/abc123-project1-SHARED

Dspace

Consider moving the data to DSPACE.

How to share files with members of the department after you leave

Camtools drop_box allows the sharing of files for research projects.

Further information about the camtools drop box solution. Space on this system can be given to research projects and access then given to external collaborators who do not have a raven login.
