1608) 18/07/11 Maple licences
SUMMARY: The licences for Maple have been updated.
Our licences for Maple (v13/v14) were due to expire at the end of August. New ones which won't expire until next year (2012-07-31) have been obtained and installed.
Note that there is no new licence available for Maple v12 so it will expire on 31st August (2011-08-31) and there is little we can do about it. Users of Maple v12 should seriously consider switching to a newer version. To find the version of Maple you can run:
interface(version);
Or when running the GUI version use Help -> About Maple (which will also display the licence expiry date).
Those who have maple on their own machines under our departmental licence should contact help@maths.cam.ac.uk to obtain the code to renew their licence.
We expect to obtain the media for Maple v15 in the next few days, and once we do we will be able to install it for use on the DAMTP Linux and MacOSX machines that we administer and the relevant images will be added to the ones already available under http://www.damtp.cam.ac.uk/internal/computing/software/maple/
