1707) 20/07/12  Thunderbird security fix on Linux/MacOSX

SUMMARY: a security-fix version of Thunderbird was installed on the Linux and Intel MacOSX machines between 2am and 3am this morning.

The upgraded version is 10.0.6 ESR which is the security fix version of 10.0.5 ESR which we installed on the Linux machines a few weeks ago (see news item 1699).

No reboots should be needed but those who have left Thunderbird running will probably find that they need to quit and restart it after the update.

In any case all Linux Thunderbird users must ensure that they have restarted it to benefit from the security fixes.

As mentioned in news item 1696 Mozilla no longer support MacOSX on PPC machines, the old versions have now been removed on the PPC machines.
