Disadvantages of New Printing System (CUPS)

• Each printer can only be known by one name.
• As double sided printing is still the default, single sided printing has become more cumbersome.
• Mail messages will no longer be sent when a printer job fails. The CUPS system doesn't wait to read any errors back from the printer. Jobs which fail will just disappear.
