Adding a stylefile
Put the latex/tex files in a directory (say ~/tex), then alter your
TEXINPUTS environment variable e.g.
export TEXINPUTS=::~/tex
and then tex/latex will knwo to search ~/tex in addition to the
standard locations (the :: means search standard places).
If you don't want to do this every login you can alter your .bashrc
file (near the end) to contain that export line.
