Convolution Menu
The filters described in this menu are based on a simple MxN convolution
matrix. For a given pixel the resulting intensity is product of this
matrix with the pixel and its neighbours. The convolution
kernals are all 3x3 apart from [L Low pass, MxN point] and [U
User-specified convolution kernal], both of which may be any user-defined
size.
1 Low pass filter using the four nearest neighbours - 3x3 kernal.
2 Low pass filter using the eight nearest neighbours - 3x3 kernal.
3 High pass filter using the four nearest neighbours - 3x3 kernal.
4 High pass filter using the eight nearest neighbours - 3x3 kernal.
5 Laplacian filter using the four nearest neighbours - 3x3 kernal.
6 Laplacian filter using the eight nearest neighbours - 3x3 kernal.
L Low pass, MxN point.
Averages the intensities over the specified kernal.
The kernal may be of any size.
U The user supplies convolution matrix kernal.
It may be of any size.
