Check for Difference Between Odd and Even Fields

This option computes the mean and RMS intensities of the even lines and the odd lines (separately) for the region of the image lying within the window. This information is returned to the user and may be used to determine whether it is necessary to interlace filter the image or reacquire it.

Test interlace in which buffer ?

Specify which buffer is to be tested for differences between the even and odd fields.

Test interlace in Window or whole Screen ?

The interlacing of the image may be tested either in a window or encompassing the entire image.

{If testing in window}

Window Selection: Interlace test region

If you select to test the interlace in a window, then DigImage generates the standard Window Selection submenu. For further information on how to use this menu, select [H Help] once the submenu has started.

The following means were computed:
Even lines: Mean !!R0 = !!GR0
_____________RMS !!R2 = !!GR2
Odd lines:  Mean !!R1 = !!GR1
_____________RMS !!R3 = !!GR3

The mean and rms intensities are returned in the !!Rn return variables so that they may be accessed by a command file.
