Display Summary of Buffers - Automatic
Display Summary of Buffers - Automatic
This option creates a mosaic of the contents of 4, 9 16 25 or 36 buffers.
The result is put in buffer 0. This provides a convenient method of
summarising the contents of some or all the buffers. Note buffer 0 will
not normally be included in the summary (except if it is specified as the
start buffer). The option [L Display summary of buffers - specified]
provides a more general method of achieving a similar summary of an
arbitrary list of buffers.
Mosaic 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 5x5 or 6x6 ?
This entry determines how may buffers are to be included in the summary.
The buffers are always laid out as tiles with the same aspect ratio as the
original buffers, hence the number of buffers summarised is always a
perfect square.
Start from what buffer ?
This entry specifies the buffer to occupy the first tile. The second tile
will be to its right and contain the reduced version of the buffer one more
than this (unless this would be buffer 0, in which case it will contain
buffer 1). This process is repeated until all the tiles are filled.
Number tiles ?
The tiles making up the mosaic may optionally be numbered with their
corresponding buffer number by responding <Y>. Pressing <N> suppresses
numbering.
