Rearrange Bits
Rearrange Bits
This option provides a flexible method for rearraging the order of the bit
planes within an image. In addition, individual bit planes may be set or
cleared.
Rearrange bits on which buffer ?
This entry specifies the buffer containing the image which is to be
rearranged. Any valid DigImage buffer may be used. The selected buffer is
made the current output buffer. Extended memory buffers are vectored
through buffer 0.
Rearrange bits in Window or whole Screen ?
The rearrangement of bit panes may be performed on the image in the entire
screen (<S>), or confined to a window (<W>) within the buffer.
Window Selection: Region to be operated on.
If the bit pane rearrangement to be confined to a window, the standard
DigImage window selection submenu is produced to aid the window
specification. For more details on the specification process, consult the
[H Help] option within the window selection submenu.
Bit #: Use what bit of source image (-1 => set, -2 => clear) ?
For each of the eight bit planes in the resulting image, starting with the
least significant bit (bit 0), the bit plane to be used from the source
image should be specified. Note that each bit plane in the source image may
be duplicated into any number of bit planes in the resultant image. As an
alternative to specifying a source image bit plane, a given bit plane may
be set (-1) or cleared (-2) in the resultant image.
