Strobe Video Source

Strobe Video Source

When strobing a video source, DigImage acquires a copy of the current video signal at regular intevals, thus producing an output with the same freezed motion of a strobe, but an output which is visible all the time. Buffer 0 will always be used by this process.

Spacing between snap shots ?

The strobe can be set to run at any spacing from the frame rate to one frame every ten seconds. This input specifies the time between images being acquired using the normal DigImage time syntax minutes:seconds (see the general help facility <shift><f1> for more details).

Use current zoom setting ?

The option is given of using whatever zoom and pan settings are currently active (<Y>), or resetting to no zoom or pan (<N>). Once this has been specified, the strobe will start.

Q will terminate strobe. To change speed: <D> (manual) <up> <down> <pageup> <pagedown> <home> or <end>

Once the strobe is underway, it may be terminated by pressing 'Q'. The following keys may be used to change the strobe rate:

D This allows the delay to be re-specified directly in the
same manner as it was originally specified.

<up> The grey up-arrow key increases the speed of the strobe by
decreasing the spacing between each acquisition by one full
                   frame time (1/25s or 1/30s).

<down> The grey down-arrow key decreases the speed of the strobe
by increasing the spacing between each acquisition by one
full frame time (1/25s or 1/30s).

<pageup> This increases the speed of the strobe by decreasing the
spacing between each acquisition by the time for eight full
                   frames (8/25s or 8/30s).

<pagedown> This decreases the speed of the strobe by increasing the
spacing between each acquisition by the time for eight full
                   frames (8/25s or 8/30s).

<home> This key increases the speed of the strobe to the maximum
rate of acquiring every frame (continuous acquisition).

<end> This key decreases the speed of the strobe so that one
