Save Window to .BMP file
Save Window to .BMP file
This option saves the specified window as a 1, 4 or 8 bit Windows bit map
file. The current output look up table is saved along with the image. The
image is rescaled to the desired resolution, the defaults maintaining the
aspect ratio. The .BMP file may be reloaded using [B Load window from .BMP
file], or loaded into a Windows application.

This entry specifies which buffer contains the image to be saved as a

Name of BMP file (.BMP default extension) ?
The image is written to the file specified at this prompt. If no extension
is given, then DigImage provides the Windows default .BMP extension.
Save bit map of Window or entire Screen ?
The entire image within the buffer may be saved by selecting <S>, while
that within a subwindow may be saved by choosing <W>. If a window is
selected, then further help on the use of windows may be obtained by
choosing the [H Help] option within the windows submenu.
Width of bit map (in Windows pixels) ?
DigImage will rescale the selected image to the size you wish to use under
Windows. This entry specifies the width of the image, in Windows pixels.
Note that the resolution of the image and aspect ratio may change with
different display adaptors. The default sizes attempt to provide the
maximum image size and maintain the aspect ratio for a 800x600 pixel mode.
Height of bit map (in Windows pixels) ?

Number of bits for each pixel ?
This entry specifies the number of bits used to specify the intensity or
colour of each pixel. Windows supports 1, 4, 8 and 24 bit colour.
However, at present DigImage only supports the first three of these.
