Load Window From File
Load Window From File
Loads image to a specific point in a frame buffer. This option supports
raw .PIC, .TIF and .BMP files. For .TIF and .BMP the number of pixels
rather than the aspect ratio are preserved. For .PIC files the window may
be required to either wrap around, or truncate if it reaches the edge of
the buffer.
Load window to which buffer ?
The window can be loaded from disc into any valid buffer. This buffer will
be made the current output buffer. If the specified buffer is in extended
memory, then it will first be copied to buffer 0. On completion of the load
operation, the resultant buffer will be copied back to extended memory.
Name of file containing window ?
The name of the file (and optionally the path) to be loaded into the window
must be specified. If the file does not exist, DigImage will flag an
error. This option supports the following formats:
.PIC raw to window, compressed to full screen
.TIF 8-bit uncompressed; preserves number of pixels
.BMP 1 to 8-bit; preserves number of pixels
Cursor Positioning: Locate at top left of new window
The normal DigImage cursor submenu is invoked to allow the user to specify
the point at which the top left corner of the window is to be loaded. Help
on the use of the cursor is available from the 'H' help option within the
submenu.
Wrap if over edge of buffer ?
If, when the window is loaded to the specified point, it falls outside the
edge of the buffer, then it may either be wrapped around the edge (<Y>)
or truncated (<N>).
