Details of Movie

This option reads the header information from the requested movie file and makes it available to the user through the command file return variables. If a command file is not running, the information is displayed onscreen.

Name of movie (.MOV default extension) ?

Enter the name of the movie about which you require details. If this file does not exist, !!R0 will be set to -1. If this option was started interactively rather than from a command file, a suitable warning message will also be displayed. No warning will be displayed from a command file. This is to allow the command file to create the movie if so required.

The movie file contains the following header information:
Original movie name: !R0 = !R0
Date movie created : !R1 = !R1
Time movie created : !R2 = !R2
Date last modified : !R3 = !R3
Time last modified : !R4 = !R4
Movie window - iw0 : !!R0 = !!S
               iw1 : !!R1 = !!S3R1
               jw0 : !!R2 = !!S3R2
               jw1 : !!R3 = !!S3R3
Spatial resolution : !!R4 = !!S3R4
                   : !!R5 = !!S3R5 pixels
Movie duration : !!R6 = !!R6 samples
                   : !!R7 = !!R7 fields
                   : !!R8 = !!GR8 secon
Nominal sample spacing
                   : !
                   : !!Ra = !!GRa secon
Requested sample spacing
                   : !!R
Original frame rate: !!Rb = !!Rb Hz

This display is produced only if a command file is not in use. If a command file is in use, then the values noted above are simply returned in the corresponding return variables.

Warning Message: The requested movie file does not exist! A value of -1 has been put into !!R0 to indicate this.

The specified movie file could not be found. Details are not therefore available. So this condition may be detected from a command file, the value -1 has been placed in !!R0 instead of the normal iw0.
