This menu contains a number of options which may be used to create and edit fonts.
This option may be used to change the current output buffer.
This option enables characters to be copied from one cell to another. If a character is copied to the wrong cell, then the [U Undo copy/erase] command may be used to undo the copy operation.
This option enables characters to be erased. If the wrong character is erased then the [U Undo copy/erase] command may be used to undo the erase operation.
This option invokes the cursor plotting features of DigImage using a dedicated cursor mode which allows alteration of the intensities within the character cells (where the intensity is either 0 or 255), but not in the "background" between (where the intensity is 127 or 128).
This option may be used to import a character to the current font buffer from another buffer. This importing allows fonts generated by other packages (e.g. Windows 3.1) to be converted into the DigImage format. The importing is achieved by converting an image within a window in a particular buffer into a DigImage bit mask and then writing this to the font buffer. Note that this option may also be used for copying or adjusting characters already positioned in the chacter cells.
This option sets up a buffer for the creation of a new font by dividing the buffer into cells for each character, prompting for the basic size of the characters.
This option may be used to load an entire font into one of DigImage's buffers in a form suitable for editting in order to modify an existing font or for use as the basis for a new font.
This option may be used to read an existing font and write it out to the character cells previously initialised by [I Initialise buffer for character cells]. The font loaded may have a different basic cell size from the cells on the buffer. If the font is larger than the cells, then the region of the characters outside the cell is lost. The font may be loaded at some offset to the existing cells, allowing vertical and horizontal offsets.
This option allows the conversion of the contents of a frame buffer into a font file, thus enabling the font to be saved after it was editted.
This option will undo a [C Copy character] or [E Erase character] if issued immediately after the copy or erase command.
