Read Existing Font Into Cells
Read Existing Font Into Cells
This option may be used to read an existing font and write it out to the
character cells previously initialised by [I Initialise buffer for
character cells]. The font loaded may have a different basic cell size
from the cells on the buffer. If the font is larger than the cells, then
the region of the characters outside the cell is lost. The font may be
loaded at some offset to the existing cells, allowing vertical and
horizontal offsets.
Load font file to which buffer ?
The font file should be loaded to a buffer which has previously been
initialised using [I Initialise buffer for character cells]. If the buffer
selected at this prompt does not contain valid character cells, an error
message will be generated.
Font Selection
The Font Selection submenu is produced to enable selection of the font to
be read into the cells. For further details on font selection, consult [H
Help] in this submenu.
Vertical offset of font from top of cell ?
The characters may be loaded into the cells with a vertical and horizontal
offset. This entry specifies the vertical offset. A negative value will
load the character to a higher position, and a positive value to a lower
position within the cell.
Horizontal offset of font from left of cell ?
This entry specifies the horizontal offset at which the characters are
loaded. A negative value will load the character further to the left, and
a positive value to the right within the cell.
