Manual Positioning of VTR

Manual Positioning of VTR

This option is designed to facilitate the manual positioning of the VTR. The precise procedure for doing this depends on the model of VTR used. However, for accurate positioning with ALL models it is best if (a) DigImage is monitoring the VTR and (b) the final position is moved forward to rather than back to.

This menu option looks after (a) by telling DigImage to monitor the video recorder.

{For AG7330 VTRs}

Switch VTR to LOCAL and position by hand. When video has been positioned, switch back to REMOTE then press any key

The AG-7330 will ignore front-panel buttons when in REMOTE control, and ignore remote control operations when in LOCAL. It is therefore important to ensure the switch is in the correct position.

{For AG7350 and BRS822 VTRs}

Manually position VTR. When finished, press any key.

The VTR accepts both manual and remote controls without the need to change front panel switches. However, to ensure no confusion, it is best if the computer is only monitoring what the user is doing, rather than sending conflicting commands. The purpose of this menu option is simply to ensure the computer monitors things without sending commands.
