Local Velocity Estimate with Region-dependent if too few Particles
Local Velocity Estimate with Region-dependent if too few Particles
This option represents a cross between [L Local velocity estimate] and
[R Region-dependent predicted velocity]. If there are sufficient particles
with valid matches for a local velocity estimate to be used, then it will
be, otherwise DigImage assumes that a particle for which there is no
previous history has a velocity which is piece-wise spatially uniform. The
option is designed to work in conjunction with the [qfCRR Record which
region particle in] contour masking facility to divide the flow
into two separate regions. Each of these regions has a uniform predicted
velocity field associated with it. DigImage will assume the velocity of a
particle with no history is the value appropriate for the region, plus or
minus some error given by [qM Max velocity error for new paths].
Expected x component of velocity for new path in low intensity region
(world units per second) ?
This entry specifies the expected x velocity for a new particle falling in
a region defined by the contour masking as low ingensity. The velocity is
specified in world units per second.
Expected y component of velocity for new path in low intensity region
(world units per second) ?
This entry specifies the expected y velocity for a new particle falling in
a region defined by the contour masking as low intensity. The velocity is
specified in world units per second.
Expected x component of velocity for new path in high intensity region
(world units per second) ?
This entry specifies the expected x velocity for a new particle falling in
a region defined by the contour masking as high intensity. The velocity is
specified in world units per second.
Expected y component of velocity for new path in high intensity region
(world units per second) ?
This entry specifies the expected y velocity for a new particle falling in
a region defined by the contour masking as high intensity. The velocity is
specified in world units per second.
