VTR Grab Sequence

VTR Grab Sequence

This submenu allows the computer to control the position of the Super VHS recorder (with RS232 remote) to acquire, from video tape, the exact frame specified.

C Acquire a sequence of buffers at a constant Sample spacing.

The frame spacing must be an even number of fields (1/50s or 1/60s for PAL or NTSC, respectively). If N buffers are requested, then the first captured image will be placed in buffer N and the last in buffer 1. The buffers are captured in groups of four (DT2862) or sixteen (DT2861) and transfered to extended memory as appropriate.

T Acquire buffers at specified time offsets from the current time.

There is no need for the buffer times to be in chronological order (although it may be faster to do so). If a sequence with constant spacing is required using extended memory, and the frames are positioned closer than 0.5 seconds, then option C should be used.
