5.8 JOURNAL FILES

To complete this section on command files, we note that the easiest method of writing such files is to utilise a journal file during an interactive session to record your various key strokes. If you do not make any mistakes and either do not require any loops or variables (or alternatively you entered all the loop and variable information from the keyboard while creating the journal file), then the journal file may be used without alteration. More normally, however, you will need to make some minor modifications to the journal file using your favourite editor. The journal file is opened using <f6> and closed using <shift><f6> or by opening a further journal file.

This completes the present section on command files. Further example command files, including those described above, may be found in %DIGIMAGE%\MACROS\*.CMD.
