Research

Tha nature and occurence of frontogenesis (particularly in the ocean mixed layer) and the breakdown of these fronts via instability processes. Of particular interest are fronts of submeso (less than 10km)  scale, where assumptions of cross-front geostrophic and hydrostatic balance break down.
