Miss Jocelyn Dunstan

Career

  • 2011- date: Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, University of Cambridge
  • 2008-2010: M.S. Physics (Hons), Universidad de Chile
  • 2004-2007: S.B. Physics, Universidad de Chile

Research

  • One of my PhD projects, under the supervision of Ray Goldstein, is to understand the inversion process in Volvox carteri as a mechanical process (theory and experiments).
  • Secondly, I'm working in the fluid motion generated by a suspension of bioluminescent bacteria, and the role of oxygen consumption (theory and experiments).
  • Finally, I'm still working in simple models of bacteria swimming at low Reynolds number (with Rodrigo Soto from Chile) (theory).
