Dr J.M.P. Rodrigues
Career
- 2003-present. Research Associate of the Polar Oceans Physics Group, Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, University of Cambridge.
- 2001-2005. Lecturer in Physics, Technical University of Lisbon.
- 1990-2000. Assistant Teacher of Physics, Technical University of Lisbon.
Research
João Rodrigues is interested on the study of the convective activity in the Greenland Sea and its relation to sea ice production. He is also is interested in the study of the sea ice concentration and sea ice thickness distributions in the Russian Arctic and how these quantities have changed in the past decades. His other interests include the study of the variation of the length of the ice-free season in the Arctic from passive microwave satellite data and the determination of Arctic sea ice thickness from submarine measurements.
