Career
- 2007-date: PhD student, Relativity and Gravitation group, DAMTP
- 2006-2007: Part III of the Mathematical Tripos, Cambridge

Research
Steffen is a member of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics Relativity and Gravitation research group. He is mainly interested in classical and quantum gravity; he has worked on homogeneous spaces, deformations of Lie algebras, CP violation and Cartan geometry, as well as the formulation of general relativity as a "constrained BF theory".
