Knowledge Transfer Facilitator (KTF)

Responsibilities

  • KTF for both DAMTP and DPMMS.
  • Develop relationships with external organisations, such as business, industry, policy makers, NGOs and research institutions.
  • Create opportunities and establish research collaborations to deliver impact and knowledge exchange. 
  • Support impact in mathematical research and promote awareness among academics.
  • Advise on impact case studies for the REF.
  • Advise PIs on Pathways to Impact statements for EPSRC and other funding applications.
  • Support applications to the University's Impact Acceleration Account.
  • Arrange external mini projects for the first year PhD students in the Cambridge Centre for Analysis (EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Analysis).
  • Liasion with business and industry for the Cambridge Mathematics Placements programme.
  • Arrange seminars from business and industry on how they use and apply mathematical research.
  • Organise knowledge exchange events.
  • Cambridge Enterprise Champion for mathematics.
  • Promote enterprise and commercialisation opportunities and training within Mathematics.
