About me

I am a PhD student in DAMTP under the supervision of Prof Malcolm Perry. Before coming to Cambridge I was at Trinity College Dublin.

Research

Here in Cambridge I am working on the odd geometry of string theory and the edd geometry of M-theory. Previously in TCD I worked with Dr Sergey Cherkis on singular monopoles.

Teaching

Feel free to inform me of typos, comments and things that are just plain wrong.

Part III Symmetries, Fields and Particles (Michaelmas 2012)

Part III String Theory (Lent 2012)

Also of use may be some notes I made for the 2011 course covering a small selection of topics including the asymptotic level density calculation and the Minkowski-Euclid-complex change of coordinates.

Miscellaneous Part III notes (2010-2011)

The following are notes I made for my own benefit while doing Part III, they may be of use:

Random talk generator

While procrastinating before writing a talk for the Part III student seminars I used the code of the snarXiv to produce a random talks generator. It makes fun pseudo-understandable talks with a hep-th bent and you should definitely be braver than me and actually try to give one...
