This archive of my academic news begins at the start of my PhD, in the Autumn of 2011. Prior to that, I studied for four years at the University of Oxford, receiving my MMath qualification in July 2011.

 

 

2011

 

October — started my PhD study at the University of Cambridge.

 

October — started a CCA mini-project on "Decentralized control of large-scale networks" under the supervision of Dr. Ioannis Lestas, Department of Engineering.

 

 

2012

 

January — presented a talk entitled "Lyapunov stability theory and wireless networks" at the 2012 CCA Short Mini-Project Presentations at the University of Cambridge, UK.

 

January — started a CCA mini-project on "Wave singularities in ideal fluids" under the supervision of Dr. Gordon Ogilvie, DAMTP.

 

March — "Stability of distributed power control algorithms for time-dependent wireless networks" (extended abstract) accepted for presentation at the 20th International Symposium on Mathematical Theory of Networks and Systems.

 

April — attended the 2nd Oxbridge PDE Conference at the University of Cambridge, UK.

 

June — presented a talk entitled "Green's function problems for fluid perturbation equations" at the 2012 CCA Long Mini-Project Presentations at the University of Cambridge, UK.

 

July — presented a talk entitled "Stability of a general class of distributed power control algorithms for time-varying wireless networks" at the 20th International Symposium on Mathematical Theory of Networks and Systems at the University of Melbourne, Australia.

 

July — "Stability of a general class of distributed algorithms for power control in time-dependent wireless networks" accepted for presentation at the 51st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control.

 

September — attended the CCA Mathematics in Industry Study Group at the University of Cambridge, UK.

 

October — presented a talk entitled "Stability of distributed power control for time-varying wireless networks" as part of the Graduate Analysis Seminar Series at the University of Cambridge, UK.

 

December — presented a talk entitled "Stability of a general class of distributed algorithms for power control in time-dependent wireless networks" at the 51st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control at the Grand Wailea Resort, Maui, Hawaii, USA.

 

 

2013

 

March — received a Smith-Knight/Rayleigh-Knight prize award for an essay entitled "Stability theory for systems of differential equations with applications to power control in wireless networks".

 

March — presented a talk entitled "Distributed solution of the Optimal Power Flow problem" at the 2nd CCA-MASDOC Joint Conference on Analysis at the University of Warwick, UK.
