The exam will be in the same format as previous years: 3 hours, closed book, answer 3 questions out of 4. The 2012 and 2011 exams were set by me. The material covered in the course was a bit different in 2011: Q4 of that exam covers material which was not taught this year. Material in the lecture notes that was not discussed in lectures (e.g. proofs of certain results) is non-examinable.
The material examinable for the January test is the same as that for the Part 3 exam.
