Talks

Below are a small selection of some of talks I have given about my research in the last few years:

  • Modified Gravity Makes Galaxies Brighter, a talk about using stars and galaxies as a test of chameleon gravity (based on this) given at DAMTP, University of Cambridge on the 14/03/2011.
  • Modified Gravity Makes Galaxies Brighter A shorter version given at PASCOS 2011 at DAMTP university of Cambridge and on 14/09/2011 at the UK Particle Cosmology Network meeting, IGC, Portsmouth.
  • Detecting Dark Energy in the Stars, a presentation about the use of distance indicators such as Cepheid variables, TRGB distances and water MASERs in constraining chameleon theories, based on this and given at DAMTP, University of Cambridge on 22/06/2012.
  • Supersymmetric Chameleons, a general framework for embedding scalar-tensor screening mechanisms into supersymmetry and some powerful no-go results precluding the construction of supersymmetric symmetrons and other screening mechanisms that do not derive from no-scale Kähler potentials. Based on this and this and given at DAMTP, University of Cambridge on 07/12/2012.
