Welcome to my personal webpage! My name is Nathalie Vriend and I invite you to take a look around. In the "personal" section I am describing how I got to move from a small rural town to places around the world.

I am currently a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge in the UK, researching granular flows such as snow avalanches and sand dunes. I received my Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology in 2010 where I studied the phenomenon of Booming Sand Dunes.

Feel free to open my CV in "Curriculum Vitae" or visit my teaching webpage or research webpage.

Check out the "Things for fun" section on photos of adventures that I conducted individually and together with my family.
