PETER LANDSHOFF qualified for his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 1962. He is Professor of Mathematical Physics there and is Vice-Master of Christ's College. He has led new research ventures in quantum information and in escience, and played an active role in the creation of the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences and of the Millennium Mathematics Project, whose object is to to help people of all ages share in the excitement of mathematics. Professor Landshoff has spent extended periods at CERN and is an editor of Physics Letters B. He is the author of around 130 publications, including two previous books.
