About me

  • I am currently doing a Ph.D. in theoretical physics at the University of Cambridge. My supervisor is Tony Short.
  • Before this, I took part III of the mathematical tripos in Cambridge. Most of the courses I attended were aimed towards high energy physics, but I also studied general relativity; quantum information, entanglement and non-locality; and did an essay on the foundations of statistical physics.
  • My undergraduate course was theoretical physics at Trinity College Dublin. The classes spanned the traditional theoretical physics syllabus, together with three hours of experiments most weeks. I spent the summer after my third year working on surface and interface physics as part of Trinity's Summer undergraduate research experience program.
  • Aside from physics, I'm interested in music, comedy, cooking, rugby and football.
