6 Summary of preliminary results
- XMM succesfully observed the stars beween
21:30 and 8:20 UT.
-
The SAAO and CTIO observations are nicely
complementary, since they covered the period
21:30-4:30 UT.
-
XMM observed 4 flares, with all its instruments.
-
The Northern star had two flares.
The first one was partly observed by XMM/OM and
almost completely covered by CTIO.
-
The Southern star had had a small flare,
and an unusual, interesting flat-top flare.
-
The XMM/RGS, EPIC data are encouraging.
It is possible to separate the spectra of the two stars,
although the S/N is quite low.
-
The XMM/OM fast-mode windows worked very well,
the pointing was perfect.
However, unfortunately some data are missing.
