Career

2023 - Present: PhD in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at DAMTP HEP group and Peterhouse, University of Cambridge

2019 - 2023: BA, MSci in Experimental and Theoretical Physics (Natural Sciences Tripos) at Peterhouse, University of Cambridge

Research Interests

I am supervised by Professor Ben Gripaios. I am generally interested in mathematical physics and applications of pure mathematics to problems in quantum field theory. In particular, I have been researching on how concepts and constructs in arithmetic and algebraic geometry allow us to solve the various Diophantine equations that arise in cancelling gauge anomalies. I am also interested in other areas of formal quantum field theory, which include generalized symmetries and the use of homotopy algebras in formulating the colour-kinematics duality.

In a previous life, I worked in accelerator physics, specifically on developing an analytical model to describe the phenomenon of "beamstrahlung" which is predicted to be detrimental to electron-positron collisions in the (planned) Future Circular Collider.

Teaching

Natural Sciences Tripos, Physics: Part II Theoretical Physics 1 Examples Classes, Part II Relativity Supervisions (Michaelmas 2023, Michaelmas 2024)

Mathematics Tripos: Part IA Dynamics and Relativity Supervisions (Lent and Easter 2024)

Miscellanea

I sing with the Cambridge University Schola Cantorum (which was previously St John's Voices). One of my favourite compositions is Rachmaninoff's Magnificat in his All-Night Vigil. I enjoy "Astérix", "Tintin" and just about everything related to the three Low Countries.
