Theoretical cosmology
My work in theoretical cosmology focuses on inflation, primordial non-Gaussianity, and the effective field theory of cosmological observables. A recurring aim is to understand how the physics of the early universe can be connected to measurable signatures in cosmological correlations and large-scale structure. See, for example, The Observed Squeezed Limit of Cosmological Three-Point Functions and The Effective Theory of Large Scale Structures.
Quantum field theory in curved spacetime
I study quantum field theory in cosmological spacetimes, particularly inflationary and de Sitter backgrounds. This includes the structure of cosmological correlators and wavefunctions, and methods for understanding their analytic properties and quantum corrections. Examples include The Analytic Wavefunction and The In-Out Formalism for In-In Correlators.
Open quantum systems
My recent work explores open effective field theories as a way to describe cosmological systems and fields interacting with their environments. This connects open-system methods to inflation and to the effective description of light in a medium; examples include The Open Effective Field Theory of Inflation and An Open Effective Field Theory for light in a medium.
