"The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not 'Eureka!' (I've found it!), but 'That's funny...'" - Isaac Asimov

I always try to inspire others to appreciate and enjoy maths in all its beautiful forms. Over the years I've given talks at Maths Masterclasses, Girls in Maths Days and other events and I enjoy organising the programme and resources for the Sutton Trust Summer Schools and for outreach aimed at underrepresented groups.

You can check out some of the resources and activities I organised for the Faculty here, and some videos from the Maths Virtual Open Days held in 2020 and 2021 here.

Here's a talk I gave at the Newnham Summer School in 2019.

In 2020 I gave a talk for the Varsity event organised jointly by the Emmy Noether Society and the Mirzakhani Society, which explains a bit about my mathematical journey as well as some of the research I do.

You can watch the video of the talk on 'The Mathematics of Imaging' which I gave at the Maths Open Days in 2021, and many more outreach videos are available on the Maths Faculty's YouTube channel.

Maths Open Days are always very busy with many clever and enthusiastic students engaging with activities and asking questions. I usually end up feeling very happy, even if somewhat worn out, as this picture shows!
