Research

James is a member of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics GR research group. His current research interests are primordial non-Gaussianity and the bispectrum of the CMB and Large Scale Structure. James looks after the Centre for Doctoral Training in Data Intensive Science and the MPhil in Data Intensive Science. The Cambridge CDT in Data Intensive Science is an innovative, interdisciplinary centre, distributed between the Department of Physics (Cavendish Laboratory), Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP), Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics (DPMMS) and the Institute of Astronomy (IoA).  The MPhil in Data Intensive Science is an innovative new masters programme which provides cutting edge training in statistical analysis, machine learning and research computing and their application to scientific analysis.
