I'm a PhD student in the Ocean Dynamics group, supervised by Professor John Taylor. I am attempting to better quantify the fate of carbon in blue carbon systems such as kelp forests to work out how they could be enhanced to sequester more carbon, and to help better understand how these biological systems effect the broader ocean carbon cycle.

My work is currently focused on the development of a Julia package for coupling biogeochemical models with the fluids solver Oceananigans.jl and other model components such as sediment models in a framework to easily add and remove components. This will be open sourced soon but if you would like to know more in the mean time please email me!
