Contributed Papers

Participants from both industry amd academic institutions are invited to give an oral presentation of their work (not more than 30 minutes length) or to pose and discuss open problems. If you wish to give a presentation please email the title, author names and a one-paragraph abstract (in plain text or Word) to glassdays06@damtp.cam.ac.uk

Objectives

The need for high-quality precision manufacture and processing of glass has led to the development of increasingly sophisticated modelling approaches within the glass industry, and has provided a source of fruitful collaboration between industry and university research.

Glass Days 2006 aims to bring together industrialists, mathematicians, physicists and engineers from across Europe working on a diverse range of problems connected to the glass industry. In addition to presentations of state-of-the-art modelling and simulation, Glass Days 2006 will allow plenty of opportunity for discussions between participants, from industry and academic institutions, to gain new insights, stimulation and ideas for future research.
